Sketching & Painting Classes

With this class, students begin to take the basic skills they have learned and translate them into creating fine art. We explore more sophisticated techniques such as lighting, shading, realism, perspective, and advanced coloring. Students practice observational drawing and painting and are encouraged to bring their creativity into every piece. A highlight of the year includes a special plein air springtime session, giving students the chance to experience painting outdoors like professional artists.
